Florida and Oklahoma have met just one time in their storied histories: the 2009 BCS Championship Game. Despite the Sooners having the No. 1 offense in the country that year, the Gators defense controlled the game in a 24-14 win for their third national title. This year, it's Florida that has one of college football's best offenses with the No. 1 passing game in the country. After one quarter, however, that passing game has gone nowhere as the Sooners have a 17-3 lead.
The big story has been quarterback Kyle Trask's three interceptions. Trask threw five picks over the course of the entire season, but a combination of pressure, poor decisions and a new-look receiving group have caused the mistakes. With Kyle Pitts, Kadarius Toney, Jacob Copeland and Trevon Grimes out, the Gators are missing two-thirds of their receiving production. Be that as it may, Trask has not played well and the protection he's received up front hasn't helped out at all. The good news for the Gators is that they have the potent offense to come from behind -- if their shorthanded group can pull it together.
