The Midshipmen were an automatic qualifier and are the No. 12 seed in the Bermuda Run Regional, hosted by Wake Forest University. The Bermuda Run Regional will be played at the Bermuda Run Country Club just outside of Winston-Salem, N.C.
"We are incredibly excited and honored to represent Navy on the national stage," said Navy head coach Kylee Sullivan, who was named the 2024 Patriot League Coach of the Year on Sunday. "These girls have put in a lot of work to earn this opportunity, and are playing some of their best golf recently. The team can't wait to get to North Carolina to compete with some of the best teams in the country."
This marks Navy's second-ever NCAA Regional appearance, with the first coming back in 2021 following the program's first Patriot League title.
Regional play will take place May 6-8 at all six regional sites. All six regional sites will have 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to play in the national championships to be played May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.
The 12 teams competing at the Bermuda Run Regional site include, in order of seed, Wake Forest, Texas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, UCF, South Florida, Tennessee, Oregon State, North Texas, Delaware, Charleston Southern and Navy.
Navy claimed the 2024 Patriot League Championship by nine strokes over runner-up Boston University at the Bucknell Golf Club this past weekend as senior Stephanie Lee took home individual medalist honors, while sophomore Sue Lee and freshman Emma Tang earned First-Team All-Patriot League distinction alongside her.
