The New England Patriots and Los Angles Chargers are set for an AFC head-to-head at SoFi Stadium. Cam Newton's club is fresh off a last-second victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12 thanks to a 50-yard field goal nailed by Nick Folk at the buzzer. Meanwhile, L.A. is looking to rebound off a loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. This will be Bill Belichick's first look at Chargers rookie phenom Justin Herbert, who is fresh off his sixth 300-yard pass performance of the season. Under Belichick, the Patriots are 24-5 against rookie signal-callers.
Given that mark, it's no surprise to see the NFL odds over at William Hill Sportsbook setting this game as a pick'em. That said, the Patriots have struggled outside of Gillette Stadium, going 1-4 on the road in 2020. Our CBS Sports experts are largely split on this matchup, but senior NFL writer Pete Prisco is leaning towards Los Angeles to pull out the win.
