Like all Bay Area courses, San Francisco's Presidio Golf Course had been closed for play since the start of the coronavirus shutdown in mid-March.
On Monday the club reopened in the sunshine to a full day of tee times. While the clubhouse was still shuttered, the practice greens, driving range and 18 tees were full of happy golfers, many grinning from ear to ear at seeing their friends again and getting the opportunity to return to some form of normalcy, by whacking tiny balls around the park.
We went to the course to see what the first day of golf in nearly two months looked like.
