Last night I learned two things about Atlantic island nations’ flora and fauna, and I am going to share them with you now:

Hurricane Dorian, which hit the Bahamas just three months ago—I’m sure the bowl game surroundings were cleaned up right after the resorts were—may have caused the Bahama nuthatch to go extinct. I may have been reading this aloud to high schoolers and had to stifle a giggle, but it’s pretty sad nonetheless.
You can find Sisyrinchium bermudiana, the national flower of Bermuda, in two places: Bermuda and Ireland. Diasporas are fascinating.

Jordan Love is still at QB for the Aggies, and that should be enough.

The Warhawks are back for the first time in half a decade, having upset defending champion Mary Hardin-Baylor with their ground-and-pound attack; the Cardinals upset perennial power Mount Union in the Round of 16 and have been held under 30 points once all year, a 35-21 loss at Wheaton in the Battle for the Little Brass Bell. Awesome trophy.
