CHICO — Information for employers about reopening will be provided by the Greater Chico SCORE chapter and the U.S. Small Business Administration during an upcoming free webinar.
The webinar will be at 1 p.m. Thursday.
SCORE’s presentation will be by Jackie McClain of Chico, who chairs the local SCORE chapter and has more than 30 years as a senior human resource administrator, along with law expertise. Her topics include critical steps to reopening with the long-term health of a company in mind; what a business owner’s duty is to customers, employees and vendors; and identifying steps to reduce legal liability related to opening.
SCORE is a nonprofit business organization affiliated with the US Small Business Administration, and offers free, confidential counseling through the Chico Chamber.
SBA speaker Janelle Green, of the SBA’s Sacramento office, will be offering updates about federal programs that include COVID-19 relief, standard SBA loan programs, federal contracting programs, small business webinar trainings and free one-on-one counseling.
