The Bermuda National Gallery is offering free admission this year.

According to a statement, this is possible for the second year in a row owing to the generosity of the Christian Humann Foundation, which has supported the gallery for years.

The BNG, which opened a Humann Gallery in 2013, reported a 76 per cent increase in visitor numbers when free admission was introduced last year.

Jennifer Phillips, the executive director of the gallery, thanked the foundation and said: “With four new exhibitions on this year’s calendar, we look forward to welcoming everyone to BNG.”

Faith Humann, chair of the Christian Humann Foundation, said the organisation is “pleased to carry on Christian’s legacy in supporting the arts by partnering with BNG in 2024”.

She added: “Our hope is that the public will attend and enjoy the exhibits throughout the year and leave with a renewed passion for the arts and all that BNG has to offer."
